My copywriting career started with a $10/hour gig at one of those fly-by-night Halloween stores. While not glorious in the slightest, I lost sleep to giddy fantasies of using wit and words to pay rent. The headline there? You’re dealing with an intrinsically-motivated writer.

My subsequent years in copywriting and marketing have abided by a simple maxim: it’s not done until I have goosebumps. I do my best to make sure they come early and often.
